DEVICE GRADING

At AMT Cellphone Parts & Devices, we ensure transparency and reliability in every purchase, regardless of the stock you select. Each device undergoes a thorough grading and processing procedure, including comprehensive testing through Phonecheck.

Please take a moment to review our detailed grading criteria outlined below before you place an order.

WHAT IS PHONECHECK?

Device Diagnostics: Runs automated tests on hardware and software components, checking for defects or malfunctions (e.g., screen, battery health, camera, sensors, etc.).

Certified Data Erasure: Provides secure data wiping that meets compliance standards like NIST and DoD, ensuring no previous user data remains.

Device History Reports: Checks for issues like activation locks (iCloud/Google Lock), blacklisting, and carrier compatibility.

A GRADE

A Grade is classified as "like new" condition, with only very minimal signs of wear that are barely noticeable from an arm’s length away. Most devices exhibit only one or two minor imperfections, rather than multiple.

FRAME

A few hairline scratches may be present, particularly on areas like the silver frame and antenna bands of an iPhone. These scratches are extremely fine, only visible at certain angles, and cannot be felt by touch.

BACK COVER

Nearly flawless, with possibly only a few hairline scratches, such as 1-2 minor marks.

SCREEN

Very minor hairline scratches.

AB GRADE

AB Grade is in outstanding condition with minimal signs of use. Slight imperfections may be present but are not visible from a typical viewing distance. Most devices exhibit only a few of the following minor blemishes rather than all of them.

FRAME

Light surface scratches, typically near the charging port, along with a few small, isolated marks, may be present, indicating minimal prior use.

BACK COVER

Faint, scattered hairline scratches are permissible, along with one minor imperfection, such as subtle wear near the camera module.

SCREEN

Fine hairline scratches that remain invisible when viewed from arm’s length or when the display is on are acceptable.

B GRADE

B Grade is in good condition with some visible signs of wear. Minor to moderate scratches and marks are acceptable, though most devices exhibit only a selection of the following imperfections rather than all of them.

FRAME
You may notice scratches and small dents, but deep impact marks from drops are not.

BACK COVER
A mix of fine scratches, slight chips, or mild discoloration may be present.

SCREEN
Multiple fine scratches or a few slightly deeper may be visible.

NOTE: Devices with plastic frames that are otherwise in excellent condition may still be classified as Grade B if the frame has a crack, as this is a common issue in certain models and does not affect functionality.

C GRADE

C Grade device is in fair condition, showing noticeable signs of use and moderate to heavy wear.

Deeper scratches and dents are found on the frame, including potential cracks in plastic frames.

FRAME

Deeper scratches and dents are visible, and plastic frames may have cracks.

BACK COVER

Heavy scratches, multiple marks, deeper chips, and discoloration.

SCREEN

You may see multiple deep scratches, minor missing fragments, and slight discoloration.

Upon receiving devices at AMT Cellphone Parts & Devices, each unit undergoes a thorough cleaning and a detailed inspection for cosmetic imperfections. Following this, the devices are tested using Phonecheck to verify 100% internal functionality.

Can I see a photo of the device before I purchase it?

Yes! We understand you need the peace of mind before purchasing, so please feel free to call or text Customer Service at (940) 629-6039 to request photos of the device and grade you are interested in.

What does the device come with?

The device you purchased is HSO (Handset Only). We do sell original iPhone boxes, which you can find in our devices category. You have the option from an empty box or kitted box. Kitted box comes with the corresponding cable for the device you have selected (unless stated otherwise).

Is the device unlocked?

Yes! All of our devices are unlocked (unless stated otherwise).
